Wilde Thyme Knits by Jane E. Comyns
Creative by nature and a global nomad by choice, she has spent the past 18 years raising 3 kids in 3 different countries. “The Queen’s English” is her mother tongue but during a seven year stint in Norway she learned to speak and knit in Norwegian too! She's now living on the West coast of America where she's fallen in with a band of merry knitters, spinners and dyers who constantly inspire her. They’ve also encouraged her to document my designs. Strongly influenced by her Northern European roots, her work reflects a love of colour and texture that will brighten even the coldest climate.
The Byrd's Nest by Julie L. Anderson
Julie is a designer of knit toys, and a knitting instructor. She has been teaching locally in California since 2011. She is a self taught knitter and from the start she was creating things on her own. Children especially loved the toys she knit and soon she had orders to fill for the neighborhood kids. Her first order was for a butterfly, for a little girl across the street. Julie often knit toys from the children’s drawings and let them have full control of the colors that were used. Her first pattern written for sale, was based on a drawing by her daughter who was about 6 at the time. Julie strives to design toys with a whimsical feel that children will love. She also likes to incorporate different textures into her designs as well as fun colors.
